LIVE! OPERATIONS 2009 was simply the best camp I've ever went! Its like OH GG MAN! Haha. We had Platoon Mentor(PM) JACK & PM SHU. And PM JACK is also known as AKON! & when he laughs, he looks like PLANKTON from SpongeBob Squarepants. Super cute ((: I love our PMs loads lah seyyy!


Day 1

Dreaded for the camp. But as soon as our PMs were there, I just felt much better and decided to participate. I mean, we did pay for the camp afterall... So why waste the opportunity? Had some ice breakers. Played hand entanglement. Sadly, our mood was still pretty down in the beginning. I was feeling quite nauseous as yeah. I banged a metal thing at my head. A very hard hit. Still I tried to cope with the pain. I had a choice to go home. But didn't want to cos its like so wasted? So I stayed on.

In the bus, we were exchanging riddles with PM Shu and Jack. It brought up most of our mood. And most of us were laughing all the way cos some jokes were really pretty lame and too logicall for us no to thought of the answer.

Once we reached the campsite, We went to the shelter at the '2nd floor'. As usual, introduction. Then chose our sleeping area. Man I regretted that! I'll tell you why later. Then we had our drills. Its really interesting. I mean, I'm not in UG group or anything and doing drills like this is very unfamiliar. Hence, I found it interesting. We learnt the sedia, keluar barisan and a few more drills. Can't really remember how to say it though. We also did the 'half left down' which is push ups of course. If we did something wrong then we'll d half left downs. OH! And we can't say the word "TRY". And I accidentally said that word and caused my whole class to do half left downs. Pfft. Sorry 3D! In this exercise, we were being emphasised to DO IT FAST, DO IT ONCE AND DO IT RIGHT.



Had lunch and the food was , well I don't know. I didn't like it. After lunch we did the POSTMAN WALK! While waiting for 3C to finish their turn, we waited at a nearby area. And guess what?!

That damned area was full or should I say infested with mosquitoes. In less than 10 min I was bitten about 8 or 9 times on both my leg and hands. Its seriously irritating. Its like mosquitoes everywhere. And these mosquiteoes represents as distractions in our life. Well yeah it does makes sense but it really itches me like hell.

After 3C, we headed on to the Postman Walk. Its basically two parallel cables for us to hold and step on. We have to get over to the other side upon achieving our goals. And if you fall, there'll be a dirty muddy river waiting for you at the bottom. While crossing, the PMs at the side will actually shake the cable very vigourously to make you fall and you are expected to hold on cos these shakes are people that will hold you back and of course again, distractions. The PMs will also be like the devils and angels. Some will motivate you and some will not support and keep asking you to give up and fall into the river.



Caroline was super duper cute ! When she fall, I think she lagged awhile. Cos all of a sudden she started screaming saying the water was very dirty! Haha, she lagged about like 2 seconds. Cute man! Most of them who fell were worried about how to get up. But she was worrying about the dirty water and yes, her face;D Haha, what a vain girl. Right Pajiao? Hehe, okok. But still, she did a very good job(((((: Thumbs up !



I did the walk too. Hmmm, its really very scary even before you do it cos, I was very scared of falling. Those went before most of them fell. At the end of the walk there is this board which says, " FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL". The main thing of this obstacle was to focus on your goal when your life gets shaky. Upon crossing, PM Jack and Encik Alvin shook and shook the cables. Scary! Seriously man. I was really afraid to fall. Reaching the end, this Encik Alvin stood in my way. And by that time, my legs were already trembling very badly. Very very badly. You can really see it. But still, I managed to reach the end (((:

So, WHEN YOUR LIFE GETS SHAKY, FOCUS ON YOUR GOAL/OUTCOME.



Sadly, it there was lightning and thunder afterwards. And the activity had to stop. Really very wasted! Cos its a very good activity. Stayed in the shelter and then had our dinner. Then bathed.

Got ready for POP. Which is PASSING OUT PARADE. Its like a promotion from recruit to private(: Everyone was promoted. Glen and Firdaus received the Best Trooper award for the night. Congrats! After that if I'm not wrong was supper and lights off.

Called syg and talked to him. HAHA. After talking to him, all the mosquitoes came. ZZZZZ. There was so many mosquitoes. You can even hear the buzzing sound. Clest and I feel super irritated and covered ourselves in the sleeping bag. Amzaingly, that damned mosquito went into my sleeping bag and kept biting me. Pffft. I got so many bites after that! A very disturbed sleep!

Day 2
Woke up about like close to 6 and prepared for stand by bed. It was qutie okay. Very disciplined. Go girls! Haha then, we did SUCCES CLAPS!!!! HAHAHAHA. Its like quite fun since everyone is doing it together! Our aim was 1600. We restarted quite a couple of times. And we had a discount. At first, the classes combined hands and cheered. Then all the boys combined thier hands. Then all the girls linked together. Soon later, everyone combined. Then, we were asked to mix with the boys. Not to only have one side girls and one side boys. We continued with our success claps. It was really fun. HAHA. OKAY OKAY. This is like the best part ! Cos they wanted volunteers. 2 girls and 2 boys. The boys volunteered and left the girl's turn. Then, Huang pushed me into the midddle. Everyone cheered and suddenly Encik Alvin passed me his DogTag. He wore it for me!!! HAHA, Huang was kinda jealous and felt that she should have vlunteered so that Alvin would wear it for her! Haha, THANKS HUANG :DDDDDDD APPRECIATE IT LOADS ! Felt happy lah ;)))

After the success claps, we had our breakfast. We had biscuits and some fruit bar. The fruit bar was army food in the army packaging. And we received our lunch too. Also in army packaging. There were spaghetti, glutinous yellow rice with chicken ball, dumpling and mushroom noodle.
We heated up the food under the Sun. But before we ate our lunch, had like a so called amazing race. We ad to find several stations and get NE messages. But some stations are just booby traps. We had to collect 4 NE messages but in the end, we collected 3 only. It was a great experience while playing the throwing and catching of water bomb! Haha, guess what. 1 water bomb actually burst at me. And it made my shirt wet! Coldness;D LOL!

Had lunch afterwards. Mine was the yellow glutinous rice. it was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Very very nice ;D Enjoyed my lunch soo much ! Really really very nice. I can even feel the taste on my tongue now. LOL!

Then, we had our VICTORY MARCH! We were to walk and walk and walk. Well, the mission was to walk 7km for and hour. And we so called accomplished it. But actually it was 4km. LOL! So many of us believed the 7km distance. Its like so fake la. Even I knew it was fake. Chey! Haha, whatever... Okay, shut up Syuhrah. After 'accomplishing' that, Firdaus, Baohui, Huang and I were called out to the front to where Alvin was. Each class was suppose to have 4 selected classmates for some stretching of mind to be done.While waiting for the time to pass, we were like sharing jokes. And this Png shared his racist jokes. HAHA, and Encik Arul heard it lah! Luckily he was quite open. Fun time ;D

Well, all 32 of us were selected for the ADVANCED LIFE OPERATIONS. We were believed to be able to be stretched even more. As in mentally and physically. Upon hearing this, I knew what we were gna do. Exactly like last year's batch. LOL. And I was right.

We were asked to write all our goals on the paper and then, in 55 min. To hold that piece of paper in our hands with our arms straightened out and parallel to the ground. The first 5 minutes was torture. Seriously. Very tiring and pain. Their 55 min is like more than 1h. I'm sure we did it more than that. But they kept saying if you think it is more, then it'll be more. LOL. Awesomely, everyone manage to pass this test . Mentally. While holding, Alvin motivated me man! He was like saying that he had faith in me and not to let him down. There is this another Ma'am. She motivated me well. Felt so touched man! I don't know what her name was but she made me realise that your goal can easily be take away and crushed. But am I gna let that happen? NO! Haha, okay . LOL.The so called last 8 minutes was soooo long lah! Its was like 15 min can! The song played was I believe I can fly. Huang and I then stepped on the stool believeing that we can soar and fly as high as possible (: After passing this test, we were told that we will be running to test us physically.

We ran about the same route like where we walked earlier that day. After running and running running, we got lost! Pffft. So the only way back was to run back from where we came from. LOL. And it was super duper far! Alvin said we ran about 6km? I don't know. Didn't feel like 6km to me. But to what I know, running back to where we started was very very far! Again, all of us manage to run and complete. It was very nice seeing everyone doing it together. Then, we were told to run to the the front of the shelter with everyone clapping upon our arrival! Haha, we looked as if we just bathed! LOL. We were then on sedia position and we sang the school's song (:
It really felt good upon accomplishing the tasks.

HAHA. Huang and i won the best trooper!!! WHOO~ I was supposed to have 2 dogtags luhs! But after we ran, they asked back for the dogtags. And I gave back. And that dogtag was given by Alvin. I wasn't suppose to give back. i was suppose to hold for Alvin. LOL! Nevermind. But still, the bother of us won best trooper ;DDDD PM Jack, congratulated me;D Mdm Pari congratulate me! (: And Alvin too congratulate me ;DDDD HAHA.

CO NIGHT!!!!!! It was like fun man! Everyone did their performance. I was so proud of Zaid. He was the emcee for the night. It was like amazing. Its been like so long since I've seen him so enthu. And yeah. Feeling very proud of him! Go ZAID !!!! The CO NIGHT WAS GREATTTTT:DDDD After all the performances, we had a like a dedication moment. To thank anyone in public. All of us who were sitting by the side went up and said thanks. Then, Hafidz did jumpstyle for everyone ! It was like cool lah. But my Aidil does better lah! HAHA, okay okay. Then GARYYY! He sang You Raise Me up ;DDDD And the whole cohort sang along together. It was like the best moment can!!!! Very very nice ;DDD Had so much fun. Then the NCC cadets saluted to everyone. GREAT JOB NCC :DDD

Later on we had our debrief. We were told to stand at the field and reflect. And guess what?! It was another infested mosquito area. ZZZ. Poor Iggy. So many bites! Then headed up to hear ghost stories while Huang and I went to bathe. So refreshing man!!! Slept at about like close to 2 cos our hair were wet hence went to talk to PM Jack and PM Mash. Talked and talked till like 1.30am . Cos they had a debrief. So we had to go in. When we went back, Chun and Cherie were missing! We were like where are they huh .... Switched my handphone light to find them. At last we found them at a corner. We wanted to turn in already when suddenly so many mosquito flew up from our sleeping area. ZZZ. Then, Huang and I decided to switched sleeping places. We were like searching for empty beds and we found one near the front. HAHA, and we slept os so soundly cos no mosquito bites (((:

Day 3
Woke up at like 7+ and prepared to gather with all our things. So yeah. Had breakfast and area cleaning. It was like so fast that 3 days and 2nights passed. We then had this session of appreciation. We were to write appreciation notes to those whom we appreciated and to give that person. Then, we had our most and final debrief. It was really very sad. Cos, by that time, PM Jack were already crying after reading the notes we gave him. He said, "If you have a goal, go all out for it."
And he said that his parents don't support him doing camps. They don't see any point in him doing camps. His family didn't support him. And now, with this camp. He knows why he wanted to do camp so much. Because of this(he was referring to the notes) In a way or the other, we were the reason, he wanted to do camps. And with that, almost everyone cried. Even the oh so egoistic guys. HAHA. Yeah, it was really a moment. I cried alot I must say. My eyes were red by then.

After that, the PMs gave us a departure gift. They did push ups for us and sang the school song. It was really very nice !

Then went to Alvin and told him that we'd miss him very much. Haha, woo~

Headed to school and chatted with Alvin, Shumei and Jack. Very nice and young people. HAHA. LOVE CAMP SO MUCH LAH. This is really the best camp I've ever attended ((: I'm soo gna miss Jack, Shumei and Alvin!!! Man, it'll feel weird. Extremely weird.

I guess this camp does gives me me an impact. The quotes did leave an impression on me.
If you can't then you you must, focus on your goal and many more. LIVE! OPERATION 09 is the best camp ever! I'll never forget this camp as it is already nailed into my mind. The memories will never fade nor be forgotten ;D
